Lake Edward Recap 6.11.15

Even a blind frickin squirrel finds a nut now and then, so that is how Jim and I feel after a dominating :-) performance last Thursday night. It was a beautiful night to be on the water, eating smoked salmon, tasting the skunk piss Jim says is beer coming out of some weird looking cans, (seriously, it was darker than Coke) and catching Walleye that are so big that we had to stop fishing for them...which is a good problem to have, especially when all we can catch in the Bass department are ones that barely make the grade.

All teams were present and accounted for, except for Joe and Dustin again, so if they don't show on Roosevelt next week, we may have to adjust the nightly payouts because I'm half of an entry fee short for them.

So, Jim and I won the event, and we had a tie for the big fish pot again, with a Pike that went 24.75 inches, and a Walleye that went 24.75 inches. But wait, we had both of those fish - BOOYAH! If you think I'm gloating, I am, because that's the first event we've won in three years, so the blind squirrel will probably go back to not finding his nuts real soon.

Our next event is at Roosevelt from 6:00-9:30 on Tuesday, June 23rd. See you on the water!
