Hi fellas...it's tighter than a frogs ass at the top of the board. Troy & Brent made the biggest jump of the night, out distancing team Dickhead by 11 points, putting them in second and only 3 points out of the lead. Mark and Luther couldn't make up any ground, landing them in third, but they're only 4 points out of first. Team asshole is sitting in fifth place only 8 points behind the leaders. So, as you can see, any team in the top four can win this with a good showing next Thursday. Here is how we will measure next week; except for the aforementioned four, everyone else is pretty much out of the running, so you can measure anytime you want after we're done fishing. After everyone else has measured, we'll start with fourth place, team asshole, then third and so on. We'll add up the total yearly points after each one measures, and we'll keep a running total. Should be an interesting night.
The conditions on Rice and the river just plain sucked on Thursday. Cold and windy. The Thursday night bass league was out there too, and I'd bet anyone of those teams would be happy to trade bags with Sam & Brian. They had a big night, scoring 25 points with all Smallmouth. They also tied for the big fish pot with a 19.5 inch football. Troy and Brent had a beauty bass of their own at 19.5 inches. If memory serves me correctly, their's was a largemouth.
I can't believe I'm writing the next to last post of the season. Where in the hell did time go? Anyway, we're on the Whitefish Chain this coming Thursday the 10th, so bundle up and I'll see you at the landing on West Shore Drive on Cross Lake. We fish from 4-8:00 again, so happy hunting boys!
