Week Four - Roosevelt - August 25, 2020

Roosevelt is a beautiful lake, and it was a beautiful night to be on the water. With no wind and blue sky's it truly makes Minnesota the land of sky blue waters. For this Indiana kid that one day dreamed of living in this land of lakes, I didn't realize growing up that I'd get to spend the last 43 years here. I am living the dream. Still can't catch any fish, but who the hell cares.

Actually, not catching any fish isn't exactly true. Net boy and I just can't catch a lot of them, but for the second week in a row, we've caught the biggest, and with that my boat gas is paid for this year. Not bad for a one eyed fat man. (name that movie)

There really were't a whole lot of fish caught, and there wasn't a real pattern that was deemed dominant for the night. It sure would be nice for someone to figure out what is scaring all of those Tullibee's to the surface in the middle of the lake though. I don't think anyone has had any luck trying to figure out what's going on out there. I know I haven't. Steve & Brandon (aka team asshole) were first time winners this week with 27 points.

Next up is the Whitefish Chain, putting in at Lower Hay Lake on the 23rd. I am making one change to the schedule. Rabbit will be after that on the 30th rather than Thunder. I will not be here to fish on the 30th because my Canadian trip was cancelled, so I'm headed to Indiana instead for a family visit. Along with most of  you I've never fished Thunder, so I'm switching that to August 13th. No date change, just change of lake. I'll see you on the 23rd!
